Pine bark and colored mulch

Mulching is one of the most important ways to maintain healthy landscape plants. A mulch is any material applied to the soil surface for protection or improvement of the area covered. Mulching is really nature’s idea. Nature produces large quantities of mulch all the time with fallen leaves, needles, twigs, pieces of bark, spent flower blossoms, fallen fruit and other organic material.

What are the benefits of using mulch?

Landscapers and gardeners buy mulch primarily to reduce soil moisture loss and suppress weeds. Other benefits of using both inorganic and organic mulches include:

* Saving time and money needed to water and control weeds.

* Reducing mechanical injury to trees and shrubs from lawn mowers.

* Keeping soil cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter.

* Providing a more pleasing appearance to the landscape.

* Minimizing soil erosion from heavy rains.

* Preventing crusting (mineral build up) of the soil surface.

* Improving water drainage.

LARGER-SIZED MULCH (30mm - 60mm)

The larger-sized mulch fractions are the best used for larger plants plantations, such as, around decorative shrubs and conifers. This type of mulch will fit perfectly as a children's playground, path coverage, and simply as a decorative and at the same time cushioning material.

MEDIUM SIZE MULCH (7mm - 30mm)

This is the most universal fraction. Medium size gridded mulch is aesthetically attractive as consisting of separate, easily distinguishable golden brown bark pieces, and effective as well: it covers the soil densely thanks to small particle size of the mulch, which allows them laying closely to each other well retaining moisture and temperature in the soil and it decays more easily than the larger-sized mulch.

This is the smallest-sized mulch fraction ensuring the best covering of the soil and greatly enriches heavy, clayey soil structure, improves water penetration, humidity and temperature stability in the soil, ensures biological activity processes and increases the natural minerals content.
